Woodcut Art Prints

The woodcut is a graphic technique known since antiquity, developed and popularised in the second half of the 15th century by, among others, Albrecht Dürer, who gave the woodcut the status of an autonomous work of art. The woodcut is one of the oldest printing techniques, known as early as in the 6th century, and became widespread in Europe in the 14th century. Graphics are printed by cutting out a design on a wooden board, covering it with paint and imprinting it on paper.
